Kimmo Naski

CEO, Port of HaminaKotka, Chairman of the Baltic Ports Organization
Kimmo Naski is the Managing Director and CEO of Port of HaminaKotka Ltd.,    a position he has held since May 1, 2011. Prior to the merger that formed the current company, he served as Managing Director of the Port of Kotka Ltd. from 2002 to 2011. His leadership in the Finnish port sector began even earlier, with his tenure as Port Director at the Port of Pori from 1998 to 2002.
Before returning to Finland, Kimmo spent 12 years in Germany, where he played a pivotal role in international ferry and port logistics. From 1988 to 1998, he was Vice Managing Director of Viking Line Finnlandverkehr GmbH in Lübeck, overseeing operations across continental Europe, the Baltic States, and Russia. Earlier, he served at the Lübecker Hafen-Gesellschaft, gaining extensive experience in port operations and international trade.
He earned his Doctorate in Economics from the University of Rostock in 2004 and has since remained an active contributor to international maritime and logistics development. In addition to his role as CEO of Haminan Merivesilaitos Oy, he holds numerous leadership positions, including:
  • Chairman of the Board, Baltic Ports Organization
  • Chairman of the Logistics Committee, German-Finnish Chamber of Commerce
  • Member of the Board, various companies and organizations
  • British Honorary Consul
In recognition of his decades-long contributions to the maritime industry, he was awarded the Finnish honorary title Satamaneuvos (Port Counsellor) in 2023.
