Michael Siemensen

Head of Strategic Port Planning Division, Lübeck Port Authority
Michael is a diploma geologist and paleontologist with extensive experience in strategic port planning, project development, and contaminated site remediation. Since 2010, he has worked at the Lübeck Port Authority, where he has led major infrastructure projects such as the Port Development Plan 2030, the expansion of Skandinavienkai, and the construction of new terminals and piers. His career spans more than 25 years, including earlier work at URS Deutschland GmbH, with a focus on large-scale port, transport, and urban development projects across northern Germany.
