Mattias Sandell received a M.Sc. degree in Civil Engineering from Chalmers University of Technology in 1993. Between 1995 and 1998 he worked as a Project Manager for Port of Gothenburg. Since 1998 he has worked for the Ports of Stockholm. He is currently Port Development Strategist and this role includes the port perspective on the green transition for the maritime sector, city development, port strategies and much more. Previously he was the Technical Manager in Ports of Stockholm. He is also an active member in PIANC (The World Association for Waterborne Transport Infrastructure) since 1996, member of the board in the Swedish section of Pianc and the representative from Sweden in Pianc’s Maritime Navigation Commission since 2013.
