Industrial Engineer Frank Busse has more than 25 years of experience in the seaport, inland shipping, and hinterland logistics sectors. As Partner and Vice President Europe at HPC Hamburg Port Consulting GmbH, he is responsible for business development and sales activities across Europe while leading projects focused on terminal automation, hinterland connectivity, and supply chain optimization.

Frank has extensive expertise in seaport terminal development and intermodal rail terminal design, having worked on projects across Europe, Central Asia, and the United States. He has been involved in numerous assignments related to Baltic Sea ports as well as their hinterland connectivity. HPC has successfully delivered projects in Finland, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Sweden, Denmark, and Germany. His work frequently involves the integration of automation technologies to enhance operational efficiency and connectivity. In recent years, the implementation of AI-based solutions for terminal operations and port administration has become an increasingly important focus area.

Prior to joining HPC, Frank spent ten years as an Operations Manager at a container terminal, where he gained extensive hands-on experience in terminal operations and logistics. Combining strategic consulting expertise with practical operational knowledge, he provides valuable insights into the challenges and opportunities facing the maritime and logistics industry.
