Berna is the CEO and Co-Founder of Syntask, an AI-native operational decision orchestration platform for logistics and port operations, based in Espoo, Finland. Syntask moves beyond monitoring dashboards to close the decision loop – classifying operational signals as verified, inferred, or risk, and automating escalation before problems compound.

Berna is a trained engineer with over 10 years of professional experience, including close to six years in logistics operations with a US-based logistics technology company, progressing to Country Manager and Operations Control Manager roles, alongside software project management experience and PMI training, before founding Syntask in 2024. She holds a thesis-based Master’s degree in Engineering focused on risk analysis of multi-source data, and is currently pursuing a PhD in the same field: risk and data analytics. She is also a certified ISO 27001 Internal Auditor.
